GRAND JUNCTION, CO – Local youth activists spoke at a teach-in about the importance of voting at Lincoln Park near downtown Grand Junction yesterday. Sponsored and hosted by Right & Wrong (RAW) and Western Slope Mutual Aid, the speaker lineup included Omarion York-Clark, Tatum Menom, Carlee Allen, and Liliana Flanigan.
Student activists spoke about “Modern Day Jim Crow and Mass Incarceration”, “Overcoming Voter Suppression”, “The Importance of Voting When Black”, and “Voting For Your Voice: Voting Up”.
